Bachelor and Bachelorette Party Jet Ski Rental in Miami
A jet ski session is one of the few bachelor or bachelorette activities in Miami where the whole group does the same thing at the same time, outdoors, with a swim stop in the middle. This page explains how group bookings work at Jet Ski Miami 7, how to split riding time between more people than skis, what the rules are, and which route fits which group.
Quick answer: how does a group jet ski booking work?
Direct answer: you can book up to 6 jet skis in one booking, each seating up to 2 people, from the Miami Beach / North Bay Village area, daily 7 AM – 6 PM. Prices start at $189 per jet ski for 1 hour (+$30 for a passenger); the group rate is shown at checkout. The deposit is $30 for 1–3 jet skis or 20% of the total for 4 or more. The ride is self-guided: safety briefing, recommended route, GPS-monitored zone, and the jet skis slow automatically in no-wake zones. Book at /book.
How many people fit, and how to split time
Six jet skis with two people each means 12 people on the water in one slot. If your group is bigger, or if everyone wants to drive, the practical options are:
- Everyone drives, pairs swap at stops. Two people per ski, switch at the sandbar or at a quiet stop. On a 2-hour booking (2.5 hours on the water with the bonus 30 minutes) each person gets a solid driving block.
- Two consecutive slots. Half the group rides at 10 AM, half at 12 PM. The waiting half stays on land for coffee or heads to the beach. Good for groups over 12 or for mixed groups where not everyone wants to ride.
- Skis plus pontoon. We also have a 28 ft Bennington pontoon boat (2 h $300, 3 h $450, 4 h $600, Full Day $1,000). Riders rotate from the pontoon onto the jet skis, and the non-riders have a place to sit. Ask about pontoon capacity for your group size when you book.
Which duration for a group?
| Duration | Price per jet ski (1 rider) | What it covers | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Hour | $189 | Venetian Islands and Star Island loop | Short-attention groups, tight schedules |
| 2 Hours (+30 min bonus) | $349 | Haulover sandbar swim stop and return | Most bachelor and bachelorette groups |
| 3 Hours | $499 | Sandbar plus Downtown skyline, or Key Biscayne | Groups who want the full bay |
| Full Day (4 h) | $649 | Everything, at your own pace | Groups making it the day's main event |
Extra passenger on any ski is +$30. Florida sales tax and booking fees are shown at checkout. Full breakdown on the price page.
Deposits, holds and who pays what
Direct answer: the organizer pays the booking deposit online ($30 for up to 3 jet skis, 20% of the total for 4 or more or for a Full Day). The balance is paid at check-in by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and a $150 refundable security hold per jet ski is placed on a card at check-in and released about 5 business days after return.
Practical tip for organizers: decide ahead of time whose card takes the $150 hold for each ski, and collect the balance from the group before the day (or ask at booking about each pair paying their own ski at check-in) so the check-in moves quickly. The booking deposit is non-refundable; if plans change, cancel at least 48 hours ahead and the ride moves once to another date within 90 days. If we cancel for weather or safety, you get a full refund of unused time including the deposit, or a free reschedule.
Rules every group needs to know before booking
- No alcohol before or during the ride. This is not negotiable, and it applies to passengers too. Ride in the morning, celebrate after.
- The person who books and signs must be 21+ with a government photo ID. Drivers must be 14+.
- Boater card: every driver born on or after January 1, 1988 needs a Florida boater safety card. The temporary certificate takes about 30 minutes online and costs about $14; the link is sent after booking. Send it to the group chat the week before so nobody is doing it in the parking lot. Our license page explains it.
- Waivers: the agreement and waiver are signed electronically from a private link after booking. Every rider signs; riders under 18 need a parent or guardian signature.
- Life vests are mandatory and provided. Arrive 30 minutes before your slot for the briefing.
- Daylight only, 7 AM – 6 PM. There are no night rides.
Itinerary ideas for groups
The sandbar morning (2 hours)
Book a 10 AM slot, arrive at 9:30. Ride north through Indian Creek to the Haulover sandbar (25–30 minutes), anchor in the shallows, swim and swap drivers, then come back along the bay with the skyline on the horizon. Back by about 12:30 PM, lunch on Miami Beach, afternoon free. This is the route most groups pick; the Haulover sandbar page has the details.
Star Island and the skyline (1 hour)
For groups with a packed day: the Venetian Islands are 10–15 minutes from the start, Star Island with its waterfront mansions 15–20 minutes. You ride past both, line up for a photo with Downtown behind you, and are back within the hour.
The full bay (3 hours or Full Day)
Sandbar, then south past the Venetian Islands and Star Island to the Downtown skyline and the mouth of the Miami River (20–25 minutes from the start), and on a 3-hour or Full Day booking as far as Key Biscayne and the Cape Florida lighthouse. The riding zone is roughly 25 square miles, so there is room to spread out and regroup.
Suggested day for a bachelor or bachelorette weekend
- 9:30 AM: check-in, IDs, briefing. Coffee before, not mimosas.
- 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM: 2-hour ride with the sandbar swim stop.
- 1:00 PM: lunch on Miami Beach, 15 minutes south.
- Afternoon: pool, beach or a Wynwood walk; see what to do in Miami for a day.
- Evening: dinner and the night out. Everything that involves a drink comes after the ride.
What the organizer needs
- The date and start time (mornings are calmest on the water and the easiest to get everyone to).
- The number of jet skis (up to 6) and which riders are pairs.
- One person 21+ with a government photo ID to book, pay the deposit and sign.
- The list of drivers born on or after January 1, 1988, so they can do the boater card in advance.
- A plan for the balance and the $150 holds (one card or per pair).
- The marina address (Bill Bird Marina, Haulover Park, 10800 Collins Ave) and parking instructions, which are sent right after booking; forward them to the group.
