How Much Does It Cost to Rent a Jet Ski in Miami? (2026 Prices)
Short answer: renting a jet ski in Miami costs $189 for one hour at Jet Ski Miami 7, and that price already includes fuel, a life vest, GPS speed control and the safety briefing. Two hours cost $349 and come with a 30-minute bonus, three hours cost $499, and a Full Day (4 hours) costs $649. A second rider on the same jet ski is $30. Florida sales tax and booking fees are shown at checkout before you pay. You reserve with a $30 deposit.
Across Miami, advertised jet ski prices range widely because many operators show a low base rate and add fuel, "insurance", marina or passenger fees at the dock. This page explains what you actually pay with us, what is included, and how to compare quotes honestly.

What is included in the price
- Fuel for the whole rental. You never refuel or pay a fuel fee afterwards.
- Life vests for every rider, in all sizes.
- Safety briefing before launch: controls, no-wake zones, the route, how to get back.
- GPS speed control: the jet ski automatically slows down inside no-wake zones, so you cannot get a ticket for speeding there.
- A recommended route across Biscayne Bay: Venetian Islands, Star Island, the Downtown skyline, the Haulover sandbar. The ride is self-guided; nobody rides behind you.
- Electronic paperwork: the rental agreement and waiver are signed from a private link after booking, nothing to fill in at the dock.
What is not included
- Second rider: $30 per jet ski.
- Florida sales tax and booking/payment fees: calculated at checkout and shown before payment.
- Boater safety card: drivers born on or after January 1, 1988 need a Florida boater safety card. The temporary online certificate costs about $14 and takes about 30 minutes; we send the link after booking. Details on the license page.
- Sunglasses, sunscreen, towels: bring your own.
Deposit and payment explained
- $30 booking deposit reserves your date and time for 1–3 jet skis. For 4 or more jet skis, or a Full Day, the deposit is 20% of the total. The deposit counts toward your rental price.
- Balance at check-in by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
- $150 refundable security hold per jet ski is placed on a credit card at check-in. It is not charged unless there is damage and is released back to the card about 5 business days after a safe return.
The booking deposit is non-refundable, but if you cancel 48 hours or more before the start we move your ride once to any date within 90 days. If we cancel for weather or safety, unused time is refunded in full, including the deposit.
How to compare jet ski prices in Miami (the honest checklist)
When a quote looks cheaper, ask these five questions before you pay:
- Is fuel included? Fuel surcharges of $50–75 per hour are a common surprise at check-in.
- Is there a per-passenger fee? Some operators charge much more than $30 for a second rider.
- Is there a marina, dock or "equipment" fee? These are usually not in the advertised price.
- How big is the riding zone? A $100 "hour" inside a small roped-off area is a different product from 25 square miles of Biscayne Bay with a sandbar stop.
- How much time is actually on the water? A 60-minute slot that includes briefing and paperwork is shorter than it sounds. Our briefing happens before your clock starts, and the 2-hour package adds 30 minutes.
If the answer to all five is clear and in writing, the price is real. If not, expect the dock price to be higher than the ad.
Which package is the right value?
- 1 Hour ($189): first-timers, a quick thrill between other plans, cruise passengers with a tight window. Enough for the Venetian Islands and a loop toward Star Island.
- 2 Hours ($349, 2.5 h on the water): the most popular choice. Enough time to reach the Haulover sandbar, swim, and ride back along Miami Beach without rushing. Per hour of riding it is cheaper than two separate 1-hour rentals.
- 3 Hours ($499): sandbar plus the Downtown skyline and Star Island in one ride.
- Full Day ($649): 4 hours; add Key Biscayne and the Cape Florida lighthouse, long swim stops, photos everywhere.
